Professional Guidance with Interventions

At Valley Recovery Center, we know that starting down the road to recovery can be a difficult and upsetting process. We’re here to provide you with guidance every step of the way, and that includes staging interventions. Getting your loved one to agree to treatment is often the most challenging part of recovery, and our experience shows that interventions are a very effective way to get addicts into treatment.

Contact Us if considering an Intervention

Addiction often includes self-destructive behavior. Family members and loved ones of an addict frequently notice this kind of behavior, but many addicts will reject offers of help (and even deny that they have an issue). As their addiction continues and family members see the harm it is causing, it’s natural that the family will look for some way to help. Contacting professionals to help you stage an intervention is a good way to make your loved one face up to the harm their addiction is doing.

Show your family member that they are loved

Interventions can enable addicts to grasp the seriousness of their issues, to see the effects it has on everyone around them, and to understand that they need to seek treatment. This understanding and acceptance is absolutely necessary to successfully achieve recovery. The goal of an intervention is shine a light on your loved one’s addiction and to motivate them to seek change because of the compassion their family offers. In order to be effective, the intervention must not anger, insult, or humiliate the addict.

Increasing Intervention Success

Working with the professionals at Valley Recovery Center will ensure that your intervention has the best chance of succeeding. We know how to approach addicts in a way that encourages them to seek treatment, and we also know how to handle the volatile emotions that can occur when people are confronted with the reality of their addiction. If you’re considering staging an intervention for your loved one, don’t back down. The behaviors you’re seeing are real, and treatment is the best way to get the person you love to live a healthy and positive life.
